Corporate Social Responsibility

At Chafes we are aware of the economic, social and environmental impact of our business activities and that is why we commit to supporting various initiatives throughout the year.

We recognise that as a business we have a responsibility to our environment and we are committed to engaging in sustainable practices and that is why we undertake a number of initiatives at each of our offices including mobile phone, confidential waste and printer cartridge recycling.

Each year the partners and staff of Chafes choose a charity to support. During 2009/10 our chosen charity was the The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS). Through a series of various activities we raised over £1000 for the charity

For 2010/11 we chose to support East Cheshire Hospice and raised at total of £1065 for them. Our Charity for 2011/12 is Time Out Group.

In April 2011 we again sponsored the Marie Curie Daffodil lunch which has raised over £12,000 in the last 4 years. This is the equivalent of more than 600 Marie Curie nursing hours.

As we realise the importance of local charities and events we also sponsor other local events and charities.  This includes:- New Mills Festival, Alderley Edge Community Primary School and the Alderley Edge May Fair.  We will continue to ensure that we give back to the local communities in which we operate by sponsorships such as these.
