LAW FIRM TO PROVIDE FREE LEGAL CLINICS FOR STOCKPORT’S OLDER RESIDENTS

A Stockport law firm will be running free legal clinics for older residents at the Lower Hillgate branch of Age Concern Stockport from September. Chafes Solicitors, who are based on the Market Place will be undertaking a monthly legal clinic at Age Concern Stockport premises enabling older Stockport residents to have a free fifteen minute consultation about issues including making a Will or a Power of Attorney.
Lindsay Firth, Wills and Probate specialist at Chafes says: “We recognise that for many older people it is more convenient if they can speak to a solicitor whilst they are already obtaining advice at a centre such as Age Concern Stockport. By providing a free consultation we will be available to answer any queries that they may have relating to their circumstances, be it making or updating a Will or an issue about Power of Attorney.
Pauline Wallis manager at the Underbank Age Concern Stockport centre, adds: “We try and offer our clients a wide range of services and we are really pleased that Chafes has agreed to come and provide its expertise on a regular basis.”
A solicitor from Chafes will be available at Age Concern Stockport, 8-16 Lower Hillgate from 9am to 12pm on the following dates:
- Thursday 21st September
- Thursday 19th October
- Thursday 16th November
- Tuesday 19th December
