NORTH WEST FIRM IS APPOINTED BY SANTANDER CONSUMER (UK) PLC

North West-based solicitors Chafes has been appointed, by Santander Consumer (UK) plc, to act as its litigation lawyers in relation to its business. Currently, that business specialises in point of sale motor finance, but is expected to broaden its portfolio in to other forms of consumer finance in the future.
Santander Consumer is the finance house division of Grupo Santander, the largest financial group in Europe. As the consumer finance arm of the bank, Santander Consumer was formed to provide a focused and global consumer lending business and now operates in 13 countries.
The Chafes litigation team was appointed by the Santander Consumer UK business due to its experience and strong track record in representing other major companies in the industry. Speaking about the appointment, Chafes partner and member of the Finance Leasing Association, John Perez, says: “This is a great contract for the firm and further demonstrates our growth in financial and commercial litigation on both a regional and national level. We will be working closely with Santander Consumer, and look forward to developing the relationship with them in continuing to provide a first-class legal service.”
